FEES (ARIZONA)

Adult Karate

  • Monthly Dues - $65/person (INDIVIDUAL) or $85/family (FAMILY MEMBERSHIP) (this allows one to train in all Tuesday, Thursday & Friday adult Shorin-Ryu karate, kobudo & self-defense classes. OR
  • Daily Fee - $10/day. This is for members who cannot make classes & find only 1 class/week is sufficient for training. This must be paid at the beginning of each class.

Family Karate

  • Anyone attending Adult Karate Classes must be 13+ in age.

Special Classes

  • Private Lessons - $50/hour.
  • Private Group Lessons - $100/hour.
  • One Day Clinics - $800
  • One Day Clinics (outside of Phoenix) - $1100 (plus expenses) (non-members) - ($900 for members).
  • Kids Karate Class (restricted in size to 6 students - $150/month).

 International Membership

  • Membership in Seiyo Kai International costs $35 for the first year – this provides you with a membership card, window decal, patch for your karate uniform, and monthly e-newsletter.  After the first year, SKI fees are only $20/year. 

Testing & Certification

  • Periodically, students are asked to test. Depending on the student, this typically occurs after 3 to 6 months of training (longer for kids). If you pass the exam, you will be promoted after you pay your fee.

  • All mudansha ranks (9th kyu to 1st kyu) known as color belts, are $50/rank. Black belt certifications typically require 2 to 5 years between testing. The Shodan rank (1st degree black belt) fee is $150. All consecutive ranks are an additional $25/rank. If you do not pass, you do not pay.
