Arizona Hombu Karate Dojo

Traditional Okinawan Martial Arts (Karate, Kobudo, Self-Defense, Samurai Arts)

Martial Arts Classes

Yokoso! Welcome! We look forward to meeting you. Feel free to stop by our hombu dojo at the NW corner of Baseline and MacDonald in Mesa, and meet our students, and watch a class or two. There is no limit to what you can learn in our dojo. Because of Soke Hausel's experience of teaching at four universities, we are family and adult oriented. So, yes some children attend, and they train with one of their parents or grandparents, so both of you can be exposed to traditional martial arts from Japan. Or as an adult, you can sign up and train with other adults and families. When you sign up, all of our classes are open for you to attend. And, Soke Hausel, with his extensive experience, will be your instructor for all classes, with rare exceptions.

Group classes are $125/monthPay as you go (cash or personal check - no contract). Martial arts training provides health benefits you cannot get from a gym or health food store. Private Classes are available.

Family rates are $150 for two family members. Yes, just add $20 to your membership fee each month, and you and your spouse, or you and your son or daughter can attend together. The only other fees are periodic kyu/dan rank exams (these are optional)

Children must be mentally focused, and at least 8 years of age.

See below for information on exams. We reserve the right to refuse training to anyone.
