Arizona Hombu (the Hombu, world headquarters, for Seiyo Shorin-Ryu Karate in Mesa, Arizona) is searching for a few kids to learn Okinawan Shorin-Ryu karate in a brand new Kid's Karate Class starting in April for the first 12 registered children (ages 8 to 15). Congratulations Dr. Neal Adam, professor at Grand Canyon University for recent promotion to hachidan (8th degree black belt) in Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo. Three Utah black belts were honored by induction into the https://www.seiyo-shorinryu.com/hall-of-fame" target="_blank">Seiyo no Shorin-Ryu Karate Kobudo Kai Hall of Fame for lifelong contributions to Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo. Only the third time in history of Seiyo Kai Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo, three members of the same family received black belt ranks in Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo. A 71- year old lady used her handbag to defend against a gang of jewel thieves who attempted to rob a jewelry store in broad daylight in England.

Recently, Hanshi Andy Finley (7th dan) with the Casper Seiyo Shorin-Ryu dojo, was featured in a Casper K2 TV seqment about adoptable kids - called Wednesday's child.
